CCTV appeal York

We are appealing for information following a racially aggravated public order offence that occurred in York.

The incident took place at approximately 7.45pm on Sunday 12 April 2025, outside the BP garage on Lawrence Street. Two men approached the victim in an aggressive manner and made racially abusive comments.

The suspects are believed to have travelled to the area from Hull Road.

Suspect one is described as a man, around 50 years old, 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall, with a slim build, bald, and was wearing a black hoodie and black shorts.

Suspect two is also described as man, around 50 years old, 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall, with a slim build, grey slicked-back hair, and was wearing a jacket and blue jeans.

We are particularly keen to identify these individuals and would like to hear from anyone who recognises them, saw them in the area, noticed anything suspicious, or may have information about any vehicles they were using.
